"What?" Ash narrowed his eyebrow.
The girl let out a small cough. "Forgot to introduce myself. My name's Kamohara Kiran. You must be Satomiya Ash and Mirouni-san."
"YEP!"
Len whispers to Kiran. "Those two over there are them, remember? Legendaries?"
"Legendary?" Mirouni heard them. He and Kiran twitched and averted their eyes at each other.
"Nothing," When Kiran said this, Len poked her with his elbow.
"We meant... we found the chosen ones."
"Hosts?" The Satomiyas exchanged glances.
"Aika, you and Mirouni --" she says to Ash. "...have the elements of the heroes of the Otherworld. What we feared," she turned a nervous glance at Ryuu. "...is Ryuu-san has been chosen by a very powerful and deadly soul of a shadow dragon."
The redhead suddenly blinked. "Dragon?"
Len nodded reluctantly. "I... I saw what you did a while ago."
"Oh, that," Ryuu fumed. His hand stopped bleeding at that time. "I've never done that before,"
"We know. The soul is manipulating your mind."
"It's the spirit of the Dragon, Ryuu-san." Kiran says. "He hasn't let himself get absorbed by you like a liquid-metallic skin. He watched over you for... centuries."
"Whoa..." Ash awed.
"Ki-Kiran-san," Aika stammered. "About those two drawings you took, what do they mean?"
Kiran showed the pictures. To Aika's surprise, they were colored. She drew them using a BLACK pen. How did they transform into pictures full with life?
"These two," She showed the pictures. "They're the symbols of your elements."
"Wait," Aika stammered. "My elements?"
"Indeed. Water and ice. Just like what the ice goddess Khione affiliated with. She and the water dragon Ness have relations with each other...and chose you."
"OF COURSE!" Aika snapped her fingers. "I've studied about a goddess named Khione. I've never heard about Ness."
"They created an immortal deity named Saku, now proclaimed as the goddess of justice with the affinities of both elements."
"Saku..."
"So you're saying those two are claimed to be mortal hosts of supernatural spirits?" Ash breaks in, referring to the two siblings.
"So are you," Len says. The Satomiyas gasped in shock.
"What do you mean we are?" Mirouni quivered.
"That's what we've heard. Haruhi Ryuu and Aika are the most common ones."
"Hold it," Aika interrupted. "Mirouni told me something about her pen."
Kiran and Len turned towards Mirouni, who timidly fished out her magical pen and shows it to them. The tiny buttons shimmering from the light.
"Honestly, I don't know where it came from."
"Hmm," Kiran mumbled, her gaze locked on the pen. "Try pushing the red button."
Mirouni gazed intently at the buttons when a tiny blinking dot appeared requiring her to do so and did what was told.
On her hand she held a wide fragile pole with a beautifully designed microphone with features. The mic is shaped into a perfect circle with tiny star embodiment. Under the mic are tiny pair of angel wings to make the instrument look cute.
"What is this?" she squawked.
Len and Kiran exchanged glances. He cleared his throat.
"We knew it would be you."
"It seems you'll be some kind of Starlet Micah-sama Incarnate, only her appearance is the difference." Kiran says. "She is a beautiful drama and music deity, definitely one of Ryuzan-sama (Dragon)'s comrades."
"Drama??" Mirouni's lips formed a smile. "And a deity??"
"Uhh... yeah~!"
"Well, she has a brother, coincidence," Len said. "That's why it's Ash. His name's Travix. He has huge specialties towards magic and casting. Known as the helping hand of the group. Known for his great knowledge and wisdom."
"Whoa, you mean he's a wizard?" Ash awed.
"Uhmm no. Wizards are commonly used these days. It would be better to call him caster," he said as his eyes fixed on Ash. "You know, senpai, you are definitely perfect for Travix-sama,"
Ash almost blushed. "I am??"
"Yep!"
Mirouni stared at her brother in surprise. She hid the microphone under the desk on her lap before anyone else would see her.
"WHAT?!" Ash shrieked when all heads turned on him. He gulped and mouthed out a "Gomenasai..!!" and whispered, lowering his voice. "What? Are you... are you serious?!"
Kiran sighed. "Yes, yes,"
"Oh yeah? Do you have any proof?"
"You'll see. Just follow the voice." Ash blinked several times.
"Now let's get back to Ryuu-san. We're concerned about his condition. Because Ryuzan-sama is the deadliest and most powerful creature ever existed."
"And a darkest creature," Len added. "There's never been a creature like that in centuries. So far, he really chose Ryuu-san as his descendant,"
The male redhead remained silent, sulking himself until he spoke. "What..?"
"You'll find out the truth...really soon." Kiran assured. "The spirits about to seal themselves into you will tell you everything. They know more than we do,"
Aika stared at her brother. The grim on his face never faded. He twitched. His eyes blinking between green and red again.
"Make him stop!" Len grew alarmed. She hesitatedly shook Ryuu, holding his shoulders. He grimaced and balled his hands into fists.
"Onii-chan!"
"Is he okay?" Mirouni asked.
Ryuu fell into a daze. He clutched his own head as Aika let go of him. His eyes went back to normal.
"You're getting woozy." she told him. The guy writhed.
"I can hear a voice,"
Ash, Mirouni and Aika exchanged glances. Len and Kiran swallowed and grew nervous.
"He talked to Ryuu-san JUST NOW!" Len cried.
Aika already knew what they meant. "Ryuzan-dono?" They nodded.
"But why is it a deadly sign?" Ash asked with curiosity.
"Ryuzan-sama knows his own decisions. He chooses the RIGHT person to continue his legacy is his greatest responsibility. He'll give them time to adjust and the courage to control his power before he controls them in a bad way. He has complete control over all kinds of dark creatures. There's a... story behind it."
"What story?" The three of them demanded, except Ryuu who remained silent.
"Uhh... let's talk about that later," Len fixed his eyes on him. "To make it short, there are actually seven guardians. That means four of you are included. Three people. You know them."
"Ryuu-senpai," Kiran said to Ryuu. "Listen to what Ryuzan-sama tells you. It's for you and your comrades' safety."
"Uhmm..." Mirouni breaks in, "How do I... revert this thing?" She is referring to the strange microphone.
"You're not gonna do anything. It will do it itself."
She stared at the instrument when she sees pink shimmering sparks dancing around the mic. The mic starts to materialize into a lovely pink aura until it transformed into a dimensional sixteenth note.
"Yeah, it's not really a pen," Len told her. "You'll think it's a candy shaped into a musical note. But take a closer look." He pointed at her hand.
The musical note became transparent. It floated down towards the back of her palm before it dissolved right into her skin.
"Hey, it entered right into my veins!" Mirouni reacted.
"It doesn't hurt. It's not just a cleo. Micah-sama engulfed it with beautiful and life-giving notes, including mystical powers that are almost similar to Travix's. That also included the godlike ones."
"Cool!"
"Hey, what about me?" Ash chimed.
Kiran's gaze went on the table where she pointed at the object.
A bent spoon.
She raised it up and showed it to Ash. "I saw you doing this during the session. You did a good job,"
"Did I... really?"
"That's what Travix-sama does all the time. His first psychic action is bending utensils using his mind,"
Ash smirked and whistled. "Whoo~ Happy birthday to me!"
"So what do they do?" Mirouni jabbed her thumb at the Haruhi siblings. Aika is blowing the air while Ryuu formed a transparent image of a black skull with crossbones with his eyes closed.
"Notice Aika-senpai," Len said. "Very tiny snowflakes appear whenever she blows or breathes,"
"Like an abominable snow monster?" Ash teased. Aika grumbled under her breath and flicked something with her fingers. A tiny ice needle hit him by the nose.
"OW!"
"Nice," Mirouni guffawed.
"Meet us at the treehouse on Saturday. Be there, okay?" Len winked. "Someone will be waiting for us and when we all meet there, she will tell us a lot of information about the legends." He said as he and Kiran nodded at each other until the cafeteria is fully crowded with students.
